Capturing Haidee and Andrew’s moments together at Grotto Beach in Hermanus was an experience deeply close to my heart. When Haidee reached out on a Friday afternoon, hoping to preserve precious memories before beginning her chemotherapy, I felt a profound connection, having witnessed the strength and resilience of my own loved ones in their battles with cancer. As we spent the afternoon by the serene waves, I was inspired by Haidee’s courage and the love she and Andrew share. With her three beautiful daughters in her thoughts, and the hope of future family photos this Christmas, the session was filled with emotion and a quiet strength that I was honoured to capture through my lens.
