Betsie’s Fiesta was a relaxed family celebration held in the Moore family’s beautiful Hermanus home — a space rich with history and connection. Having photographed this family for many years, it was a privilege to document Betsie’s birthday in a setting where photographs line the walls, capturing generations, lifelong friendships, and children growing up together.

The celebration flowed between indoor and outdoor spaces, with grandchildren filling the afternoon with colour and character — vibrant redheads, a blonde-haired, blue-eyed boy, and the eldest grandson with subtle auburn tones. This lifestyle family photography session reflects my approach to capturing real moments in familiar spaces, preserving family stories as they unfold naturally.
