Meeting Mireille at Theo’s Tavern felt like stepping into a sunlit corner of Santorini — murals of Greece wrapped the walls while guests lingered inside and out in the courtyard, children laughing as the meal unfolded. Theo, his wife, son and their attentive staff tended every detail with warm hospitality, offering welcoming pours of red and white from Bouchard Finlayson and a celebratory champagne, and when the music rose Theo led the dance, pulling Mireille onto the floor where she broke plates and danced before everyone joined the joyful whirl. Mireille is a dear friend, and it was a true honour to photograph this blessed milestone.
