Photographing Corne and Elma’s baby boy, Reyneke, for his first birthday was an absolute delight! Having captured Corne and Elma’s wedding day, it was such a joy to be part of another special chapter in their lives. The morning at Grotto Beach was filled with laughter and love as the family gathered by the rocks and cliffs for Reyneke’s cake smash, featuring a charming blue cake. Elma’s parents, her brother, his partner, and their two playful brown and white border collies joined in the celebration, along with Corne’s parents, his sister, her husband, and their two children. Christopher, Reyneke’s older brother, was an attentive and proud big brother throughout the morning. Even the dogs couldn’t resist a little taste of the cake! We wrapped up the session with the family splashing in the gentle waves, creating the most beautiful, carefree moments. It was truly a morning to treasure.
