Photographing Ryan and Chanté at Grotto Beach was a delightful experience. Seeking some shelter among the rocks, they both wore black shirts and jeans, a classic and timeless choice. I spent a bit more time with Chanté, who had just discovered she was expecting their first child. It was a special moment to capture the beginning of this new chapter in their lives. Visiting from Gauteng, where they live, they were in Hermanus to reconnect with friends and family. Ryan, still on the mend from recent back surgery, showed resilience and warmth throughout the session, making the shoot all the more memorable.
