Photographing the Viljoen family held a special significance, as my connection with them began when I met Lelanie while capturing her good friend's wedding. Lelanie and her husband Francois generously offered their house as the venue, showcasing their warmth and hospitality. Admiring the bride's beautiful hair, I discovered it was styled by Lelanie, sparking an immediate connection that evolved into a fast friendship. Lelanie has since become both my trusted hairdresser and a dear friend. Each year, their home in Hermanus becomes a gathering place for Lelanie's parents, her brother, his wife, and their two children. This year, we made it a priority to document the day, capturing the essence of their cherished annual reunion in photographs filled with love and shared moments.
